A trip to Colonel Samuel Smith Park in the west end of Toronto in March 2022 as Spring is almost upon us and numerous ducks can be spotted out on Lake Ontario.

An overcast day doesn’t prevent the arrival of that spring migrant, the rather loud but pretty Red-winged Blackbird. We spot several species of duck out on the lake and a mystery weasel, perhaps an American Mink, skirts around the edge of the duck pond.
